Origin

In January 2008, Gilles Changeon participated in the International Congress of the Peace and the Nonviolence in Wardha in India. This meeting grouped together, during two weeks, peace crafts-men of various countries and religions around the 60th anniversary of the death of Gandhi. Further to this journey, was borned the idea to develop this beautiful experience of universal brotherhood. On 24th of Mars 2008 was created the Association " La Paix en Marche " which founder is G. Changeon

Objectives

Promote the Peace by various means (film week, concerts, round tables, collective actions) and on various subjects (justice and solidarity, nonviolence, interreligious, durable environment and Peace).

Octovales

The UNO decreed in June 2007, at the request of India, to establish October 2nd (Birthday of Gandhi) " as International Day of the Nonviolence ". That is why the Association decided to do its actions around this date. The term " Octovales " means: October’s festivities.
